Last week, the Creative Bureaucracy Festival took place for the seventh time and for the first time we were able to play a tiny part in designing it.

Since 2018, the Creative Bureaucracy Festival has been inviting creatives and creative bureaucrats to Berlin once a year to exchange ideas and be inspired by new ways of thinking. The aim of the festival is to find innovative solutions to current challenges and pressing future issues by learning from each other and thinking outside the box together.

Almost 2,000 Creative Bureaucrats were on site on the 5th of June and gathered on the large festival site around the Festsaal Kreuzberg. In addition to several stages, there were forums for deep dive sessions and workshops and a beautiful outdoor area in the Oberhafenkantine.

This year, we took care of the wayfinding and interactions for the festival.

In the outdoor area of the festival site, we introduced small interventions to interactively involve visitors thematically. There were various banners that could be embroidered, painted or written on. These interactions gave the festival another creative level, which enabled a bridge between the professional and personal discourse. And that was so well received!

To summarise: A great atmosphere, very special locations and exciting guests. A festival that is not at all bureaucratic!
