For the past ten years, Berlin Science Week has created a unique platform for the international science community every November. It brings together brilliant minds from across disciplines to engage the Berlin public in a vivid dialogue with science — making research accessible, understandable, and truly tangible. And it’s precisely this mission that connects us.
This year’s festival, held under the theme “Beyond Now,” invites us to look ahead — toward possibilities rather than limits, toward emergence rather than decline. It celebrates bold ideas, critical perspectives, and new alliances between science, culture, and society in a time of transformation.
Since 2019, we at Archimedes have had the pleasure of creatively accompanying Berlin Science Week — first by refining its target groups and developing core messages, later by designing spatial interventions and wayfinding systems for its festival hubs: the Museum für Naturkunde and Holzmarkt.
For the anniversary edition, we were invited to design an interactive installation that inspires collective dreaming — asking how we can imagine and create a livable future together, and what role science might play in shaping it.
