The history of standardization

New exhibition at “NormenWerk” in Berlin

DIN is provider of standardization services with more than 32,000 external experts who come together to develop market-oriented standards and specifications that promote global trade and innovations, assure efficiency and quality, and help protect the environment and society as a whole. It deals with subjects ranging from Acoustics to Zinc and focuses on trending topics such as Industry 4.0 and smart cities.

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of DIN e.V., we are opening a new exhibition at the “NormenWerk” in Berlin. Visitors can learn more about the history of standardization and experience standards and rules live. The focus of the exhibition lies on topics such as industry 4.0, smart cities, energy transformation and IT security.
Robots, parcel boxes and virtual, hand-crafted shoes: these are just some examples for smart solutions for a more sustainable and intuitive man-machine-interaction. The exhibition is open from Monday to Friday between 9 am and 4 pm, admission is free. DIN offers guided tours which last between 30 and 60 minutes and are also free of charge.
