Berlin Friedrichshain has a lovely new café to visit: Since the end of July you can find there the Espressobar Zum Kalten Hund (literally: cold dog; a traditional German cake made with biscuits and lots of chocolate). The puristic interior design has been planned, designed and realised by Archimedes in close cooperation with the owners Viola and Jens Rose. The project was an exciting challenge in which we entered unknown territories – this is the first gastronomic and retail space we have ever created. We were supported by our colleagues from ERCO, whose individually tailored illumination concept perfectly complements the ambience. The result is a composition of lights that perfectly stages our minimalistic design, offering space for the essential things: Excellent Italian coffee and lots of delicious variations of homemade Kalter Hund.
