We are pleased that parts of the AMDX team have once again taken on a teaching assignment at HTW Berlin. Led by Katharina Loderstädt (Creative Director & Interface Designer) and Gunnar Behrens (Managing Partner & Architect), today marks the start of an exciting one-week short-term project titled Movement and Energy Hallways. The collaboration with students is always a source of inspiration for us!

The Project
This project focuses on the newly renovated hallways and corridors of the university, which have so far been used primarily as transit spaces. Our goal is to transform these areas into vibrant, interactive spaces that invite people to linger and move. Together with the students, we will analyze the current conditions and develop creative solutions to enhance these spaces, not just functionally but also emotionally.

Expertise Meets Creative Diversity
The challenge is to turn spatial constraints such as narrow hallways, low ceilings, and a lack of natural light into strengths. Katharina and Gunnar see these “limitations” as opportunities in their seminar to develop innovative concepts. From sophisticated lighting installations to interactive elements that encourage physical movement, we aim to show just how much potential such spaces can hold.

Valuable Collaboration with Students
At AMDX, collaboration with students is incredibly valuable to us. They enrich every project with fresh ideas. At the same time, we aim to provide them with the opportunity to benefit from our experience and to implement their concepts in a real-world context. We are excited to see what will come to life by the end of this week!
