This month, we want to shape futures – together with you. In collaboration with Futurium, we’re taking a closer look at one of the most crucial yet often overlooked topics of the future: the ground beneath our feet! As part of the series “Open Lab: Good Soil, Good Future,” we’ll be exploring soil health, discussing its importance, its many facets, and why it should never be underestimated.
Through a series of interactive workshops, we’ll dive into this complex topic over the course of three consecutive Thursdays in July.
Soil is not only underestimated, it’s also under threat from a range of challenges. Climate change is putting increasing pressure on soil systems, and the need for action is urgent. So what does a sustainable soil future look like, and what can we do differently to help shape it? The goal of these events is to develop innovative solutions through playful experimentation and creative approaches. With support from our on-site team, participants will create prototypes that will later become part of a sculpture designed by us and displayed in the Futurium Lab. In this way, workshop participants will quite literally co-create an exhibit in the museum.
The workshops will take place on the following dates:
Location: Futurium Lab, Alexanderufer 2, 10117 Berlin. Admission is free.
