Henan Science & Technology Museum – Exhibit Production

Science as an experience: From vision to interactive reality.

Exhibition | Science Centre

In the “Exploration and Discovery Hall” of the Henan Science & Technology Museum, the fundamental pillars of our world—mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology—come alive. In addition to developing the “Preliminary Design,” Archimedes Exhibitions was responsible for the turnkey realization of 46 exhibits. Our focus was on full-scope execution: from the initial sketch and software design to the final on-site installation.

Immersive Highlights: Science in Space Particularly noteworthy are two room-scaling installations that physically draw visitors into the world of science through their scale and aesthetics, making them part of the staging:

Mathematics as a Kinetic Sculpture (Dynamic Matrix): This room-filling installation transforms abstract mathematical matrices into a dynamic, walkable experience. Through movement within the space, the elegance and order of mathematics become physically tangible for visitors—a symbiosis of technology, data, and art.

The World of Elements (Elements that make up matter): In this large-scale, immersive installation, we decode the material composition of our surroundings. The installation makes the fundamental importance of chemical elements tangible on a scale that goes far beyond a conventional exhibit.

Interactive Highlights of the Exhibition
These landmarks are complemented by a variety of specialized stations that transform complex principles into fascinating experiences:

Physics in Play (Sports Ball Layout): Here, visitors explore the dynamics of trajectories, making laws such as momentum and aerodynamics instantly understandable.

Invisible Forces (Ohm’s Law): One of the fundamental laws of electricity is conveyed here in a safe and playful manner. Visitors discover the relationships between voltage and resistance through direct experimentation.

Soundscapes (Sonic Art Pattern): This station makes sound waves visible, allowing visitors to generate complex geometric patterns through acoustics.

Technological Variety in Detail
Behind each of these experiences lies our expertise in bringing different disciplines together. The 46 realized stations cover an immense technological scope:

Mathematics: Interactive stations on probability, geometry, and logic (e.g., “Galton Board,” “Conic Sections”).

Physics: Experiments on mechanics, optics, and electromagnetism (e.g., “Plasma Ball,” “Heat Conduction,” “Visible Sound”).

Chemistry & Biology: Multimedia explorations of the elemental world and human senses (e.g., “Reaction Speed,” “Stereoscopic Vision”).

We not only manufactured the mechanical components but also handled the entire software programming, hardware integration, and intuitive screen design. This ensures that the technology functions as an invisible yet reliable engine, seamlessly supporting the educational message of each exhibit.

Exhibition Area: approx. 4,700 m² | Scope: 46 interactive exhibits | Opening: 2024 | Languages: Chinese, English | Our Services: Technical Design Engineering, Exhibit Production, Software Development, Screen Design, Hardware Integration
