Review of the Berlin Science Week

All we know from all over the world: The motto of Berlin Science Week really lives up to its promise. For the first time this year, as a creative cooperation partner of Science Week, we were part of the event week, which brings together outstanding researchers from all over the world in Berlin to connect and engage with each other and the public.

On November 6 and 7, the Berlin Science Week Campus – the central hub of the Science Week – bundled many exciting lectures, workshops and discussions at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, offering space for interdisciplinary exchange and providing insights into cutting-edge research. The variety of topics ranged from space travel to medicine to business, from climate change to artificial intelligence and much more.

And we were right in the middle of it with Felix the robot and our Ecsite-tested button machine. Our conclusion of the two days: a TV interview, 500 flirts with robot Felix, and 700 buttons spreading the Science Week visitors’ messages all over the world. And the best: countless great conversations with scientists, journalists, pupils, students and interested citizens from Berlin and all over the world – from Cameroon to Russia and Brazil.

We congratulate our friends of the Berlin Science Week on a very successful campus premiere with over 2,000 visitors and look forward to further cooperation. In 2020 we will definitely be there again!
