Our exhibit Car of Love offers young people a safe place to playfully deal with sexuality and related questions. Embedded in the exhibition Re: Generation, an old beetle becomes an intimate retreat with room for two people. Inside, the original fittings such as the accelerator pedal, turn signals or joysticks are equipped with sensors that reproduce stories by testimonials from young people with funny and serious anecdotes about sex and sexual identity – always classified in a scientific context.
The communication is mainly auditory and leaves room for one’s own thoughts and ideas. With its unobtrusive tonality of a discourse at eye level, the Car of Love has become a crowd pleaser. An important and cool tool that teaches sex education.
