“Energy is everywhere, it is at once fascination and responsibility.” This is the motto of the exhibition ENERGY IN MOTION which we realised for TOTAL Germany. The exhibition tackles the questions of energy, energy consumption, the consequences of energy usage as well as the challenges of future energy supply. ENERGY IN MOTION wants to inform and make its visitors aware of problems and show solutions for our future handling of energy. The exhibition’s aim is to make the importance of energy for society and each one of us distinct and conceivable and to bring to the fore our individual responsibility. The exhibition floor is primarily intended to serve as an official learning space for high school classes (German classes 9 to 13), but also offers a forum for information and exchange on the subject of “energy” for other interested groups.
Simultaneously, the exhibition can be used as a space for internal and external events. ENERGY IN MOTION combines hands-on exhibits, sound and video presentations, graphics and original exhibits. Thus, the visitors are addressed on several levels and with different means to spark a sustainable interest in the field of energy. The consistent scenographic execution of the theme supports the staging. Energy lines meander through the entire space, over the floor, walls and ceilings. The exhibits take up these lines as well, form the areas of tension in the flow energy. We have developed an overall picture understandable for all visitors to make the exhibition visit a unique experience.
